This film is about lingering emotional memories. The optical effects suggest the relentless tearing of photographs, with the images dissolving into each other through a matte system of torn paper Much of the film is composed of "found" footage — archival, home movies, 35mm slides — which allude to moments that have become embedded deep in memory.
