. . . the plump hands of lunching businessmen, the stored barrels of toxic waste, the child's vain escape from the bleak
silhouettes of the housing estate, the roar of the automated warehouses, the glistening rows of model armaments, the
wind whipping the retirement homes, the smooth expanse of landscaped company lawns, the ominous rumble of the night
cleaners. . .

This is a film about controlled environments, a subjective time-capsule of life in the 1980's, a Elm for the urban geographers of the future...a response to surroundings.
Paul Elliott is a cinematographer/Elm-maker based in Sydney.

He has written/directed and photographed a number of films, including “After the End” and “Mass Movement”. He worked
with Andrew de Groot on the photography of the feature film.“Strikebound”. He photographed “The Lion in the
Doorway"
, which won the 1983 AFI Award for Best Cinematography in the short film section.

“Industrial Park" is the first in a projected series of
experimental psycho~geographical documentaries.
