Internationally renownedMelbourne experimental filmmakers Arthur and Corinne Cantrill have for many years explored the possibilities of three-colour separation. Their latest study, WATERFALL, uses three superimposed images of moving water enhanced by slowing the shutter speed to one second exposure per frame, thereby rendering the water as a vaguely delineated rush of material which appears to be rising as much as falling. The soundtrack is a mix of three different waterfall effects, modified through a graphic equaliser. Filmed at MacKenzie's waterfall The Grampians Western Victoria.
