THE WEST

The West attempts to produce a conjunction of images, anecdotes scenarios, historico-social information and sounds culled from two contrasting urban spaces. The synthesis of these two spaces - certain districts of West Berlin and the inner western city of Sydney - is meant to create a purely fictional space where the film scenarios are enacted. In this film the area is given the name 'Kreuzberg'.
