Sinistre

A high contrast black and white short comedy from New Zealand about a strange family in which the term Sinistre takes on its ancient meaning: "to be middle aged and left-handed". Mrs Stubbs has no right hand and no husband and is therefore, bringing up her three children "single-handed". She is cooking them dinner. One of her daughters is mute, the other is an alcoholic. Her son is Mrs Stubbs' only hope to rear a great leader like "Jesus Christ" or a "New Zealand television newsreader". Cooking dinner for her children consists of using excessively foul language and abusing each of them in turn. It all gets even quirkier when we find out what happened to Mrs Stubbs' hand.
