This remarkable film, an early work by Gotot Prakosa, and now becoming recognised as an Asian classic in avant garde performance cinema, is based on a famous performance developed by Sardono W. Kusuma and his group in Jakarta in the late 1970s. The film, however, is completely cinematic and is a hypnotic and engrossing experience, comparable with the work of the best of the European surrealists.
