Something Happened (1987) [Short]

Sweden (MIFF 1993 , Fiction)
Director: Roy Andersson

This should be seen as a fragment of a larger, uncompleted project meant to contribute to the AIDS debate. Begun in'86 and called off in '87, the National Board of Health and Welfare of Sweden, having commissioned the film, can-ceiled production because it felt that certain scenes were too strong and that the film would present the intended younger audience with an overly depressing view of the world. This is the first time this shockingly beautiful material has been available for viewing.
