From the imaginative and ever popular brilliance of Tezuka comes an endearing animation told akin to a fable. Unico the young Unicorn discovers life, friendship and loyalty, fights against the forces of evil and of course triumphs. He faces the evil magic powers of the satanic prince, befriends a gentle yet obnoxious demon, a strong lonely grandmother and a kitten who dreams of another life. A subtitled film which does not rely on literal language as the visual language is engaging and stimulating enough to narrate itself. Unico is a sensitive and beautiful portrayal of 'true love' and friendship that adults can reminisce about whilst children can delight in. Sure to please the eyes as good and evil battle it out and little Unico the selfless hero entrances all.
