Jo wins a scholarship to study art at a city art school, where she hopes to learn to paint like her hero, Vincent Van Gogh. One day she meets a mysterious art dealer, who buys some of her drawings. He pays her handsomely and returns to Amsterdam. Soon after, Jo sees a magazine article about the "discovery" and million dollar sale of some drawings by "the young Van Gogh" - drawings she knows are hers. She and her friend Felix go to Amsterdam to solve the mystery and in the process she goes back to 19th century Aries and meets the artist himself...

Directed by Australian ex-patriot Mike Rubbo, who has directed a great number of documentaries including Solzhenitsyn's Children, Daisy Story of a Facelift, and Waiting for Fidel. Vincent and Me is Rubbo's second children's feature for Les Productions de la Fete, the first being The Peanut Butler Solution.
