Big Fish is a journey into film maker Zadoc Nava's Mexican heritage through the life of his artist father Jose. Jose went to live in Britain after meeting Zadoc's mother on holiday in Mexico. We witness Jose's bohemian life in Britain as he attempts to fit into a new culture and his subsequent journey back to Mexico in search of the truth surrounding his own father's death. Nava has seamlessly blended interviews, dramatisations, observations, archival film, and his own narration, into a colourful and spellbinding tale as lose struggles to feel at one with life on two very different continents.
