Vera Neubauer depicts the archetypal story of the fail'of man utilising the elements of sand, clay and water. Employing her own naive, primitive imagery, Wheel Of Life achieves a striking synthesis of form and content. The fluidity of the wet sand animation has an immediacy which is especially heightened by the tide's ebb and flow and the distinctive minimalism. The animation has a startling, almost mythic power to it which is captivating to watch.
