Lovely

A remarkable first short film by second year AFTRS student Ruth Carr, Lovely is a simple poignant and compassionate pass on the fragility and brevity of human life the underbelly of the beauty industry, the ravages of time and what people will do in the name of love. Lovely is also a fine example of the mysterious ability of the cinema to capture in a few moments what writers can take entire books to express. (SC)
