Bob (David Duchovny) is a construction worker, happily married to Elizabeth (Joely Richardson), a celebrated zoologist. Living in a luxurious apartment, they seem to have it all. Unabashedly romantic, Return to Me is a throwback to the comedies of the 30s and 40s, when Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant reigned supreme. What elevates this film from the crowd is the inviting atmosphere and the believability of the characters. Duchovny and Driver have chemistry to burn and the combination of romantic comedy that rides on a touch of fantasy attains a touching inspirational tone.
