Selected for Berlin and Seattle Film Festivals and awarded at two more, Jonny Vang is a skewed black comedy about a small town loser with ambitions to make it in the high flying world of ... worm farming. Jonny is a harmless dope who's made a few enemies in his Norwegian hometown. He has borrowed money from half the locals and bummed drinks off the other half. His parents are at their wits end with his laziness and he's sleeping wrth Tuva, the wife of his best friend Magnus.

Things look up when he vows to make a go of it by raising earthworms for export to a lucrative US market. Soon after his plans take shape, Jonny is smacked in the head with a shovel and left for dead, face down in pig poo. Even worse, on his way home from the doctor nursing a foul headache and stitches, an unknown assailant shoots him in the penis! Jonny, never quick on the uptake, suspects someone is out to get him—his investigations turn up a terrible testicle tragedy. Fabulous spaghetti western-style score by Calexico with rockin' contributions fromThe Hellacopters.
