A who's who of Korea's film scene come together in the scathingly self-aware new mockumentary from rising star E J-yong (The Actresses, MIFF 2009).

As the cast and crew of an unnamed new film arrive on set, they're surprised to discover that the director, E J-yong himself, isn't there. Indeed, he isn't even in the country. Camped out in LA, he's going to direct the whole thing over Skype. But the internet has limits in the real world and rebellion is afoot. Sooner or later, something's going to give.

Filled with sly in-jokes and riotous self-parodies by some of Korean cinema's biggest names, including director Kim Jee-woon (A Bittersweet Life, MIFF 2006) and actor Ha Jung-woo (Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time, MIFF 2012), Behind the Camera is a love letter to and biting satire of South Korea's film industry, as well as a deliciously droll take on the very act of filmmaking itself.
