"A disarmingly funny and tender examination of sex and religion." - Indiewire

Part two of Ulrich Seidl's trilogy joins Anna Maria (a fabulous Maria Hofstätter), the sister of Paradise: Love's Teresa, as she, too, embarks on a holiday. In this case it is to the outskirts of Vienna, where she hopes to convert immigrants to Catholicism - just one of her daily acts of extreme devotion. When her wheelchair-bound, Muslim husband Nabil returns after a long absence, he upsets her bizarre routines to the point of domestic warfare.

It's a typically provocative set-up by Seidl, who unleashes a portrait of religious zealotry in Anna Maria that walks a fine line between the blackly humorous and the outright subversive. Shot in stark tableau-esque style, this is a film that has enough moral complexity to chew over well beyond the final credits.

"Paradise: Faith happens to be one of the darkest, funniest, and [most] delightful films of this year." - ioncinema.com
