"Now is the time to stop being a loser. Now's the time to kiss the girl."

It's the summer of 1985 and 13-year-old hip-hop fan and shy ping-pong obsessive Radford Miracle is getting his first taste of freedom on the annual family vacation. Let loose on Ocean City with 20 dollars in his pocket, Rad meets a new best friend and falls for his first big crush. But when he clashes with local bullies over the Fun Hub ping-pong table, his mysterious neighbour (Susan Sarandon) steps in as trainer and mentor to prepare him for a table tennis showdown.

Modelled on the classic coming-of-age comedies of the ‘80s, Ping Pong Summer is a pitch-perfect period piece that recalls the era with warmth, humour and some super fresh dance moves.
