Witness the last stand of the magicians.

For half a century, New Delhi's Kathputli Colony has been home to thousands of the city's magicians, acrobats, singers and puppeteers. More than simply a community of like-minded souls, Kathputli is an incubator and preserver of artistic traditions that go back thousands of years. But now the government wants to bulldoze the entire slum to make room for a skyscraper and the residents of Kathputli must decide whether to fight or fade away.

Produced by Guneet Monga (producer, Gangs of Wasseypur, MIFF 2012; Monsoon Shootout, MIFF 2013), Tomorrow We Disappear sees documentarians Jimmy Goldblum and Andrew Weber following three of Kathputli's residents as they grapple with the end of the only life they've ever known. Painstakingly recorded over the space of three years, Tomorrow We Disappear is a vivid chronicle of the contradictions of an India on the march – and the human toll that progress so often leaves in its wake.

"Beautiful, sad and stunning, the film lovingly but unflinchingly documents the destructive collision between tradition and modernization, between ramshackle artistry and regimented bureaucracy. At times it has the vibrant spirit of a real-life Beasts of the Southern Wild." – The Wrap
