"This beautiful, off-the-cuff comedy-drama recalls John Cassavetes' shaggiest, most honest work." – New York Daily News

Every year, Lenny gets two weeks with his sons Sage and Frey. With no real parenting instincts, Lenny is determined to instead be best friend to the boys. But the responsibility soon becomes too much for him, and Lenny does his best to foist them onto neighbours and even strangers as the trio attempts to survive the fortnight together.

Shot on 16mm, this Manhattan-set, improvisational film, which debuted at the Directors' Fortnight in Cannes, features cameos from Abel Ferrara and Lee Ranaldo (whose sons, Sage and Frey, play Sage and Frey). Under its US title, Daddy Long Legs, the film won the Cassavetes Award at the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards.

"[Ronald] Bronstein's performance is crucial. It's difficult to make a manic character plausible, but he does." – Roger Ebert
