Watch the premiere screening of Marcus Cobbledick's Fairless – the new Australian cycling documentary celebrating acclaimed cyclist Stephen Fairless – followed by a discussion with Australian cycling luminaries Phil Anderson, Kathy Watt (Olympic cycling gold medallist) and David McKenzie, and Cycling Victoria's Kipp Kaufman, who will talk about the sport's progression into our national psyche.

Phil Anderson suffered more than his fare share of punishment en-route to paving the greatest professional road career of any Australian cyclist. Anderson is one of our cycling heros, first winning gold in the 1978 commonwealth games before he turned professional.
In his 14-year professional career he became the first Australian to ever wear the Tour de France yellow jersey, and the world’s first ever non-European to wear the coveted jersey.

Kipp Kaufman is a sport professional, having leading roles across the sector including universities, national sport organisations, major international events and state sport organisations. Over the last ten years he has been within the cycling industry, leading both the Alberta Bicycle Association (Canada) and Cycling Victoria. He has also been a member of the Cycling Australia Road, Cyclo-Cross and Participation Commissions.

David McKenzie is a former-professional cyclist, competing from 1997–2005. While the majority of his career he was based in Europe, he also competed around the globe notching up victories in UCI-sanctioned events in four continents. His biggest success came at the Giro d'Italia in 2000, where he managed to pick up a stage win and survive the three-week lap of Italy. He is also a former National Road Race Champion and a Melbourne-to-Warrnambool winner. Post retirement, he started his own coaching business, Echelon1, and was also a guest Tour De France expert analyst for SBS. Since then he's become one of the main reporters and commentators for SBS for all of their cycling coverage.
