Following his MIFF 2012 hit Chasing Ice, US filmmaker Jeff Orlowski returns with the underwater VR experience Chasing Coral: The VR Experience, which follows scuba diver and researcher Zackary Rago as he documents the unprecedented 2016 coral bleaching event at Lizard Island on the Great Barrier Reef.

Meanwhile George Kacevski and Frederic Simard explore our relationship with technology and its influence on our reality with Remember, a pilot for a 13-part narrative VR series that 'takes a bold step into VR storytelling … creating something unique, engaging and invigorating in the process.' – FilmInk
