In a nondescript place, seemingly forgotten by time, a teenager tries to outrun his loneliness.

Inspired by Naomi Shihab Nye’s poem ‘The Rider’, this Geelong-shot short film uses a brooding soundscape, textured photography and expressive acting to convey both timelessness and time having passed. Among chipped paint, empty streets and signifiers of lost childhood, a young boy faces himself.
