Charming vignettes explore the full awkwardness, absurdity and disappointment of humankind’s yearning to be loved.

In a series of darkly comedic stop-motion scenes, Winston (Stellan Skarsgård, Sentimental Value) and other urbanites search for love while the city burns behind them. Even as the characters strive to conceal their needy and pathetic sides, their soft felt bodies are as enchanting as their beautifully detailed clothing and everyday surroundings. Loosely overlapping misadventures gradually form a tender and absurd little portrait of collective longing.
