Bloodied after an attack, genderqueer pole dancer Ash shelters in a church, where fantasies of revenge collide with resurgent childhood memories of abuse. Inspired by Madison Godfrey’s poem – which unfurls in voiceover as Ash’s interior monologue – Accelerator Lab alum Grace Tan (A Daydream With Fini, MIFF 2024) creates an engrossingly stylish, grungy visual collage that demands a big screen.
