Lisandro Alonso: Frontiers

To celebrate his quarter-century of filmmaking, MIFF presents the feature-length works of audacious Argentinian director Lisandro Alonso.

Alonso’s now-quarter-century of cinema has been defined by meditative, expansive and uncompromised works that blur documentary technique and bend time, form and the known rhythms of storytelling; whose themes shimmer deep beneath still surfaces; and whose rigour has often been imitated but never exceeded.
