Cinema Nova
Carlton
An essential part of the Lygon Street scene and Carlton’s cultural fabric, Cinema Nova was established in August 1992.
The MIFF Box Office is located in the foyer of Cinema Nova on the right.
Cinema Nova’s Candy Bar is directly ahead of the main escalators from Lygon Street. To the left of the candy bar there is a full-service bar. The Nova Bar is not wheelchair-accessible, as it is five steps down from the Candy Bar level, but all offerings from the Nova Bar can be requested at the Candy Bar.
This is a fully licensed venue.

The Wheeler Centre
Melbourne
The Wheeler Centre is Melbourne’s home for smart, passionate and entertaining public talks. Housed in the south wing of State Library Victoria, its building comprises a performance space with advanced digital recording and streaming capabilities; a workshop space; meeting rooms; and the offices of several literary organisations.
Food and Beverage
There are multiple food and beverage options around The Wheeler Centre, including The Moat. The Moat café and bar is located on the ground floor of the Wheeler Centre building and is accessible by stairs. For step-free access, please go to the foyer of The Wheeler Centre and ask a Wheeler Centre staff member to provide swipe access to The Moat in the lift.
