This Box Office is open from 30 minutes before the first screening until 15 minutes after the final screening commences.
All MIFF Box Offices are cashless – only EFTPOS and credit cards are accepted.
Located within the Crown Entertainment Complex in Southbank, Village Cinemas Crown is MIFF’s newest metropolitan cinema venue in 2026.
Box Office
The MIFF Box Office is located on the Village Cinemas level within the Crown Entertainment Complex, one level above the Village box office. Access to the cinema level is available via escalators or lifts from the Crown atrium.
Food and Beverage
There is a candy bar located within the Village Cinemas foyer offering snacks, confectionery and beverages. There is also a full-service bar adjacent to the candy bar. All cinemas are licensed.

Accessibility
Entry into Crown is step-free/wheelchair accessible from multiple entrances throughout the complex. Once inside Crown, follow directional signage towards Village Cinemas.
Village Cinemas is located on an upper level and can be accessed via escalators or lifts. For step-free/wheelchair access, use the lifts located within the main Crown atrium.
Once you have arrived at the Village Cinemas foyer, MIFF staff and volunteers will be available to assist with directions to cinemas and seating locations.

In 2026, all MIFF sessions at Village Cinemas Crown will have allocated seating. Please contact the MIFF Box Office if you require any assistance choosing the right seat for you.
MIFF sessions at Village Cinemas Crown will be held in VMAX 5 and VMAX 6. These cinemas are located on the right-hand side of the Village Cinemas foyer and sit adjacent to one another.
Entry into both cinemas is from the rear of the auditorium. There are staircases on either side of the cinema descending towards the screen.
Step-free/wheelchair accessible seating is available in both cinemas, including wheelchair spaces and companion seating.
Seats are large padded chairs upholstered in brown suede with cupholders located in the armrests.

Hearing Loop: Both cinemas are equipped with hearing loops. You can connect to the hearing loop via a hearing aid device equipped with a ‘T’ coil.

There are bathrooms located within the Village Cinemas foyer.
An accessible and gender-neutral bathroom is located to the left when facing the candy bar. Bathrooms are located one level up on the mezzanine – this level is only accessible by escalator or stairs.
- Village Cinemas Crown is located within the Crown Entertainment Complex, an environment that can often be busy due to the large number of restaurants, bars, retail stores, gaming areas and entertainment venues operating throughout the precinct.
- If you are having difficulty orientating yourself within the complex, Crown staff are available throughout the venue and can assist with directions to Village Cinemas.
- The Village Cinemas foyer is a large, open space with bright lighting, digital screens displaying film advertisements and regular foot traffic from cinema patrons.
- The candy bar area can become busy prior to session start times. There is a full-service bar adjacent to the candy bar which may be quieter at certain times.
- MIFF sessions at this venue will be held in VMAX 5 and VMAX 6. The cinemas are located on the right-hand side of the foyer and are adjacent to one another.
- The cinemas are dimly lit during seating periods prior to the commencement of screenings.
