Aicha, the teenage daughter of conservative Turkish immigrants, lives in Copenhagen and is trying desperately to appease her parents' high expectations. Juggling their dreams of her getting into medical school with her own private passion for martial arts, Aicha secretly begins training at an elite co-ed kung fu school. Initially uncomfortable sparring against boys, she gradually finds herself developing feelings for her training partner Emil.

When Aicha's secret is exposed she is forced to choose between her devotion to her family and the love for her sport.
