TOUR EN L'AIR

'Tour en I'air' is a ballet term meaning a complete single, double or trlpie turn in the air. The film presents Anna Marie and David Holmes, Canadian ballet team (earlier seen in Norman McLaren's Ballet Adagio). The dance stars are seen on a stage that is world wide: Berlin, London, Lisbon, Havana, Washington, Montreal. As the film follows them from continent to continent, the couple talks of the discipline of their art and of the strain of being married to each other and to the same art.
