Presented by MIFF Accelerator, the art and secrets of cinematography are explored with cinematographer Laszlo Baranyai and writer/ director Grant Scicluna of the MIFF Premiere Fund-supported Downriver, which world premieres at MIFF 2015.

Two of Australia’s most promising practitioners, Baranyai and Scicluna worked together on the short Hurts Rescue (MIFF 2014). Baranyai’s other credits also include Matthew Saville's Noise, starring Brendan Cowell. Scicluna also wrote and directed short film The Wilding, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival (where it was a Teddy Award finalist), and won the City of Melbourne Emerging Filmmaker Award at Melbourne Queer Film Festival for Best Australian Short in 2012.
