A man is haunted by his memories in the winner of Best Short Film at the 1996 AFI Awards.

Against the backdrop of the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody, an Aboriginal Field Officer driving alone through the outback is confronted by flashbacks of the tragic stories he has encountered through his work. Selected for Cannes in 1996 and first screened at MIFF that same year, Richard Frankland’s award-winning short remains just as relevant 25 years on.
