Directors Meran Ismailsoy and Anya Chirkova begin in medias res at the very moment when their protagonist’s tenuous situation implodes: the landlord is demanding the unpaid rent, the neighbours are furious about his constant partying and his son is realising the magnitude of his father’s pride.
