This film, compiled in 1953 by Marie Seton and John Minchinton, was sponsored by the Bodley Head. It surveys the films of Eisen- stein by presenting extracts from six of his films with introductory notes. The extracts are Potemkin (mourning of Vakulinchuk as he lies on the mole), October (Kerensky mounting the stairs and entering the Royal Apartments), The General Line (Marfa attempting to plow with her cow), Time in the Sun (the funeral sequence from the first episode), Alexander Nevsky (the beginning of the battle on the ice), and Ivan the Terrible (the end, where the people of Moscow beg Ivan to return).
