This is a comedy fantasy involving such disparate elements as Chinese restaurants, kidnapping gypsies, and twin sisters who switch identities. The film centres on the differing values of two New England families headed by the seventy-year-old Green twins. Alma, a happy-go-lucky individualist who works in a food market and who has an adopted family of all ages — and Thelma, a wealthy, superstitious, domineering old hypochondriac who lives in a dreary castle where she holds her granddaughter a prisoner in a tower room.

Jerome Hill has a numher of documentary films to his credit including ihe Academy Award Winner, Albert Schweitzer. His first feature, The Sundiastle was shown at the 1962 Melbourne Film Festival.
