Absolute

The man is asking: “What happened to the promise of love's great adventure and fulfilment?” (the myth of love). The woman is asking: “Why did I sacrifice the purity of self for the compromise of exchange?” (the myth of self). The film is asking: “Why do we persist in believing in either self or love?” (the myth of cinema?).

Absolute is a road movie, but nobody goes anywhere. Maybe someone dies at the end - but nothing ever changes. Maybe the only absolute thing is nothing and nothing is absolute.
