The Painted Door

A gripping story of love, regret and death. During a terrible blizzard on the prairies, Ann remains alone in the farmhouse, while her husband, John, treks through the storm to aid his father. Their neighbour, Stephen, comes to help Ann with the farm chores. As the evening wears on, it becomes clear John will not be home that night, and Stephen and Ann sleep together. In the clear light of morning John's frozen body is found and Ann realises the horrifying implications of her betrayal.
