The, sequel to 1984's Bad New\ (a pie Spinal Tap mockumentary) finds the worlds worst heavy metal band lured to the come-back trail by a lucrative recording contract, four years after the inevitable split. Since then Colin (Mayall) has become a bank clerk (but still has a groovy pad at his mum's house). Spider (Richardson) has retreated to rural hippiedom, and Den (Planer) has been getting by as a painter and decorator. Only Vin (Edmondson) has kept the faith, playing Mary Hopkins numbers in wine bars and lovingly transcribing songs sent to him from beyond the grave by John Lennon ('Imogen') Now they've been acrimoniously re-united to play the Castle Donnington Monsters of Rock festival (a massive outdoor heavy-metal event) alongside their idols (Motorhead, Def Leppard, Ozzy Osborne etc )

With the BBC-doco crew following their every move (again), no pose, no cliche, no leopard-skin lycra-tights are left unturned Metal madness.
