"Habit a dress of particular rank, degree, profession, function, order, a pattern of behaviour, practice, custom, action."

A habit to get into and out of, this film embroiders the habit, stitches it, folds it, irons it, writes it, speaks it. Using paper dolls, found footage and the confinement of a contemporary English flat, dancer-choreographer-filmmaker Pennell provokes the order and disorder of language, bodies and modes of a(d)dress in this neo-technicolour costume minidrama dictated by the breathless rhythms of Michael Donaghy's Plath-like poem.
