At long last, Destino, the legendary collaboration between Salvador Dali and Walt Disney, shelved since 1946, has been completed. And it's coming to MIFF! The surrealist short, mysteriously abandoned before it reached completion, was considered a lost cause—the Loch Ness monster film never to be seen. But when the full storyboards, sketches and even the original score were recently discovered in a Disney vault, a creative team was assembled by Roy Disney and it was faithfully completed. A poetic take on love and time, an artistic marriage of two cultural titans, this is truly one not to be missed. MIFF is proud to present Destino's Australian premiere.
