A fluid, ambitious meditation not only on survival beyond all expectations but also on love and friendship.

Filmmaker Joaquim Pinto (who has worked with esteemed directors such as Raúl Ruiz, João César Monteiro and Werner Schroeter) takes the audience on an intimate exploration of his own yearlong experimental treatment for HIV; a journey where drugs extended his life but also took an inevitable toll, eventually affecting his outlook on life, pain and spirituality.

In some ways a diary of the pressures brought on by long-term illness, What Now? Remind Me moves with a generosity and grace to become a melancholy portrait of a life lived well, and a reflection on time and memory.

Fast becoming a festival favourite with its abstract observations, dreamlike quality and expansive runtime, the documentary won both the Special Jury and the FIPRESCI prizes at the 2013 Locarno International Film Festival.
