"A brilliantly clever doc about the musician known as Chilly Gonzales … as eccentric and over-the-top and totally wild as Chilly himself." – First Showing

Ricocheting between hip-hop provocations, Grammy-winning collaborations with Daft Punk, and virtuoso classical piano albums hailed in his adopted home of Germany, Chilly Gonzales’s is the career of a wild musical prankster. Director Philipp Jedicke constructs this funhouse mirror portrait around a rollicking conversation between Gonzales and acidic German novelist Sibylle Berg. The verbal joust is bracketed by surreal video clips, loopy dramatisations and commentary from famous friends and collaborators Peaches, Feist, Jarvis Cocker and more.

His real name is Jason Charles Beck, but Chilly Gonzales is the captivating creation that fuels this electrifying documentary.

"Ambitious and highly entertaining … a brisk, boisterous story-so-far of [Gonzales’s] musical career." – The Hollywood Reporter
