When unemployed man-child Chris Waitt is dumped by Alice - the most recent in a long list of disenchanted and disillusioned girlfriends - he decides to find out why. Armed with a camera and devoid of shame, Waitt attempts to track down his exes in search of the answers he doesn't want to hear, aided only by a little help from his mother.
Impotency, a run-in with a dominatrix and a Viagra overdose are merely hiccups along the road to discovering the error of his ways and finding a new love. Cringe-worthy and belly-laugh-inducing, A Complete History of My Sexual Failures plays like a real-life version of High Fidelity (except, of course, that Waitt is no John Cusack).
