Filmmaker Wakamatsu's contact and training with the Red Army found him investigated by Japanese authorities and considered an undesirable alien in the US.
Somewhere in the Lebanese mountains during the late 60s, the Japanese Red Army trained with Palestinian revolutionaries, fighting against American Imperialism, Zionism and the state of Israel. Koji Wakamatsu and Adachi Masao not only documented the Red Army's activities, they participated as rebels - practicing political ideology, extreme activism and readying themselves for armed battle.
As Wakamatsu returned to the world of cinema and eventually became critical of the Red Army, Adachi fought on in the Middle East, spending the next twenty years fighting for the Palestinian cause.
Rarely seen, this documentary is an insight into the turbulence of an era and the long lasting affect it had on a nation.
