A film with a special plea &ndash: a pension for aged waterside workers. Produced by a group of actors and artists, unnamed in the film, this production is obviously the work of people who have studied the techniques of cutting and editing so skilfully used in the films of Ivens, Rotha and Ruttman, The film conveys a vivid impression of the work of watersiders, of the dangers to men handling cargoes and of the problems of aged wharf labourers, still working to earn a meagre livelihood.
