THE HALF METRE INCIDENT

The film tells of the everyday life of a young man employed in the taxation department who one day, while riding to work,
falls in love with a young woman. Their love affair coincides with the beginning of the second war between Israel and its neighbouring Arab states.

Neither the war nor the takeover of the nation's economy by the government can disturb the relationship. When the war ends
with Syria's defeat, the woman decides to break with him as a reaction to his indifferent attitude.

The young man goes through a difficult period and finally decides to live from day to day, disregarding his principles and
his conscience.
