The sense of sight is central to the experience of cinema and of the world for most people. This simple but profoundly moving documentary intimately suggests through the daring use of photographic special effects and sound prespective, the subjective point of view of the world of a man who has lost most of his sense of sight. The "private little area" he carries around with him is constructed from scraps of memory and patterns of light and sound, as he visits his favourite painting in the Tate Gallery with his daughter.

Insight raises questions about how little we can share the subjective experience of others and the ways in which we see and imagine the world - questions central to the documentary form itself.
