“With Liberal Arts, Radnor positions himself as a mini-Cameron Crowe, mixing joy, life lessons and a love of culture into a perfect, crowd pleasing film.” - Slash Film

Stuck in a joyless city job, newly single 30-something Jesse (writer-director Josh Radnor, TV's How I Met Your Mother) is thrilled to receive an invitation to visit his alma mater for a weekend. While there, he begins to pine for his student days - until he meets the effervescent, and far younger, Zibby (Elizabeth Olsen, Martha Marcy May Marlene, MIFF 11), with whom he connects over a mutual passion for books. But Jesse's anxieties about their age difference threaten both their blossoming romance and his efforts to grow up.

Premiering at Sundance, Liberal Arts is an endearing romantic comedy about growing older and growing up. Featuring engaging performances from its two leads, and wonderful turns from both Alison Janney and Richard Jenkins, it's set to become an indie darling.

“Quite charming and genuinely humorous, with great heart.” - Film School Rejects
