"Music, dance and a gentle dash of romance are the crowdpleasing ingredients of Touch of the Light." – Variety

In the heart of modern Taiwan, two young artists find themselves cast adrift. Huang, a blind pianist, struggles to adapt in the prestigious arts college he has been accepted to, while Jie's dreams of becoming a dancer threaten to slip away under the weight of her mother's debts. Thrown together by circumstance, they will find in each other a strength neither knew they possessed.

Lushly shot and acted with a rare, quiet warmth, Touch of the Light is based on the life of the real Huang Yu-siang (playing himself). Director Chang Jung-chi's debut feature, presented by Wong Kar-wai, is a gentle, exuberant tale of unlikely friendship and the power of positive thinking.
