From Australian-born Hammer veteran Don Sharp (The Kiss of the Vampire), this 1973 outlaw-bikie zombie-sploitation flick wildly blends the more unhinged elements of A Clockwork Orange with fabulously B-grade occult folk horror and a funky psych-rock soundtrack to create a truly weird and wonderful cinematic gem, now recognised as a cult classic. The film marked the final appearance of Oscar winner George Sanders (All About Eve, Rebecca), who stars alongside equally big-named British actors of the day, including BAFTA, Tony and Olivier award winner Beryl Reid and future EastEnders star Nicky Henson.
