Fleeing their Cape Verde home after the devastating eruption of the volcano Pico do Fogo, three young sisters arrive in a European port, singing as they roam across an unknown country. Distinctively striking, As Filhas do Fogo is a three-channel, multidisciplinary collaboration between Costa (Vitalina Varela, MIFF 2020; Colossal Youth, MIFF 2006) and Portuguese music group Os Músicos do Tejo.
